French Bulldogs from Drenthe
Small-scale, responsible breeding since 2012. Healthy parents, puppies that grow up in our home, and a loving family as their final destination.

About Els
I’m Els, 48, and I live with my French Bulldogs in Nieuw-Amsterdam, in the Dutch province of Drenthe.
I have been breeding French Bulldogs on a small scale, and responsibly, since around 2012. My dogs simply live with us in the house, and that is how the puppies grow up too: right in the middle of the family.
I hold the Dutch animal-keeping competence certificate (Besluit houders van dieren), a UBN registration number and a Chamber of Commerce (KvK) registration. So you can be sure your puppy comes from a registered breeder.
For me, health always comes before colour or looks. My breeding dogs are examined by a vet and tested for hereditary conditions. DNA tests tell me in advance which colours a litter can have, such as blue, tan, blue merle, choco, lilac and isabella.

Why a French Bulldog?
The French Bulldog is an affectionate, cheerful and playful dog that wins everyone over with its funny antics and stubborn streak. It’s a companion dog that would rather be by your side all day, but it’s also clever enough to come up with all sorts of tricks to get your attention.
Frenchies are determined and like to get their own way. When training, it’s best to be consistent about what you do and don’t allow. Usually raising your voice is enough, because a French Bulldog is sensitive to your tone.
A French Bulldog fits right into family life. Big or small, everyone is a friend of the ‘Frenchie’, and visitors get a warm, happy welcome too. French Bulldogs love walks and play, and some even enjoy agility or flyball. They are brave and often think they’re bigger than they really are, so a Bulldog won’t back down easily when challenged. Of course, that goes hand in hand with good training, a stable home and good socialisation.
Our approach“A French Bulldog isn’t just a dog, it’s a member of the family with a mind of its own.”
